Snapshot ~ Dusty Attic

Hi!! Helena here today, sharing a page with lots of gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies. I got my hands on new Prima paper and flowers recently, and got inspired by one of the patterned papers for this page (a me-page!). The hanging birdcages, feathers and other things on the paper, got me thinking of the beautiful Ornate Pendants! They went perfect with this paper :)

I have painted all the chippies white, and on a couple of the pendants, I have also embossed with bronze embossing powder (goes so well with the paper and flowers!).

Besides the Ornate Pendants, I have also used a Corner Swirl #1 and Ornate Frame #7. I divided the frame in two pieces, and then tucked all three chippies under the photo. I have then layered lots of flowers, painted them with white gesso, sprayed some pink mist here and there. I finished the page with pearls and bling.

Celebrating the Boss!

This weekend was a special one. The owner of Dusty Attic, Jennifer aka the Boss, celebrated her 40th birthday. Lots of lovely ladies celebrated with her, but we in the DT who wasn't able to go all the way to Australia, we had a little surprise for the lovely Jennifer!

We had all made layouts with photos of Jennifer, that we sent to Jen aka littleboss (LOL), and she put them together and made an amazing album! I so wish I was there to celebrate with her, but being able to make her happy by contributing to this album, also feels great :)

Anyway, here is the layout I made. I have been inspired with the moodboard this month.

Happy Birthday, Jennifer! We love you!

Here are the blog links to the other amazing ladies in the DT, so you can see the pages they made!

I still can't believe we kept this a secret for two months!!!

A card ~ Dusty Attic ~

Hi! Helena here today, sharing a card I made.

One thing I love about Dusty Attic (and there are many things I love about DA!!) is that you can combine practically any chippies! When I create, I keep my Dusty Attic chipboard in large boxes, but I also have a little box on my desk, where I put the smaller pieces. When I started with this card, I decided to use an arch from the Arch Window #2 and an Indian Arrow. Maybe not the first chipboard pieces you would thought of to combine, but they went perfect together!

I painted the chippies white, and then misted them with gold and pink mist. From the Indian Arrow you only see the feathers, of course I had to put some flowers on the card :)

I finished my page off with some Dusty pearls. Love these!!

Little Memories ~ Dusty Attic

"It's the little memories that will last a lifetime"

Hi everybody! Helena here today to share some Dusty Attic inspiration with you. I have scrapped a pic of my little girl. Just one of those pics you take with your phone, an everyday pic but you will always treasure it. Nothing special about it really, but still it is a beautiful memory just because it is a moment captured. She is so beautiful, inside and out <3

I have played with some amazing new chippies: the Ornate Frame and Corner Swirls - love these!! So delicate and beautiful!

I have painted the chippies white, and then inked them with gray and brown ink. I finally coated them with Clear Crackle Varnish.

I adore the Quoted Sentiments (used them on cards last time, but they are perfect for layout titles too!)

Cards ~ Dusty Attic

Hi there! I recently got a gorgeous DT-pack from the boss ~ Jennifer ~ and I just fell in love with all the beautiful new whimsy frames she has designed. They are fantastic! And, perfect for both layouts and cards. I decided to make a few cards, and used quoted sentiments on a couple of them.

Here are all three cards:

This card was made after this months gorgeous moodboard. Love the bold colors (so not me, but I think I pulled it of?!). I painted the whimsy frames with Dusty in Color, Soot.

I used some black for this next card too, but also kept one frame and the sentiment raw. Added some brand new Dusty Attic bling too! And yes, you can spot some Dusty in Blooms, Evening Blush, there too.

The last card is more romantic, with lots of layers, doilies and soft colors. I kept all chippies raw, and finished this one off with some Dusty Attic pearls. Perfect!
